After a flea-control visit, log observations by date and exact room, then compare them with the areas and method in the written plan. Do not use a fixed internet timetable to declare success or failure, and do not add another product while follow-up is pending.
Record location before frequency
For each observation, note the floor or furniture area, time, who or which pet was present and whether the room was included in treatment. Separate an insect seen or captured from pet scratching or a person’s skin marks. Vets assess animal symptoms and healthcare professionals assess people; those signs do not identify the property issue by themselves.
Keep a simple daily log rather than repeatedly checking every hour. One observation on a sofa and several around a pet sleeping area are different patterns. Mark pet bedding, rugs, upholstered furniture and rooms that were inaccessible without moving them between spaces.
Note vacuuming, washing, cleaning and any disturbance of treated surfaces according to the instructions you were given. Record veterinary flea treatment separately, including the date, without seeking medicine advice from the pest contractor.
Protect the agreed method
Follow the aftercare for the actual product or control method. HSE says biocidal products must be suitable for their intended use and used according to the label. Do not repeat a household spray, combine products or shorten an access restriction based on a generic web rule.
Tell the contractor about untreated rooms, pets that could not follow the original plan, new visiting animals, damaged devices or cleaning that differed from the instructions. These facts help interpret the pattern; they are not admissions of blame.
At follow-up, ask what the new evidence means for the agreed scope and what the technician will inspect or service. The report should compare locations, state limitations and explain whether another review is needed.
Call The City Pest Company on 0203 393 2338 with the visit date and location log. See the flea service page for context.
FAQs
How long should flea activity continue?
Ask about the actual method and property. A single universal timetable can be misleading.
Should I treat my pet again?
Use veterinary advice and the medicine’s instructions. Do not ask a pest-control article to set animal treatment.
Can I spray an area that was missed?
Do not add products. Report the missed area and follow the revised professional plan.
